ORIGAMI pour-over basics, medium roast (15 g · 250 g)

Pouring gently in circles lets the flavor come out softly.

Steps

  1. Prep

    Set the filter in the dripper and level the grounds.

    Bloomto 50 g

    From 0:00, pour to 50 g (50 g over about 8–10 s). Next pour at 0:30. Pour a little water in circles from the center to wet everything.

    Pour 1to 100 g

    From 0:30, pour to 100 g (50 g over about 6–13 s). Next pour at 0:55. Pour gently in circles with a thin stream.

  4. 0:55
    Pour 2to 175 g

    From 0:55, pour to 175 g (75 g over about 9–19 s). Next pour at 1:20. Pour softly at an even pace so the bed of grounds stays intact.

  5. 1:20
    Pour 3to 250 g

    From 1:20, pour to 250 g (75 g over about 11–27 s). It should drain by about 2:11. Finish by pouring gently toward the center until you reach the full amount.

  6. Remove dripper

    Lift the dripper off and you're done.
